Sheikh,my father has hurt many people in his life.He only wants to destroy me mother’s family.My father urged my uncle to divorce my aunt.He humiliates my mother,her relatives.He receives bad’duas from my aunts n uncles.Can this happen that his children suffer in life bcz of wht their father did?Will we receive the bad’duas he gets constantly?

ANSWER:

No soul shall bear the weight of another’s sins. His children will not be affected by any of his wrongdoings. You must serve, honor and be respectful towards him despite whatever he has done as he is your middle gate to Paradise while anticipating your reward from Allah alone.

My father is very friendly with me…we talk almost like friends…I always make fun of him but he doesn’t feel angry…so is it permissible?or I need to talk with giving respect always?

My father loves going to fortunetellers, and using amulets is part of his behaviors. Once he ordered me to put a amulet on the top of our gate as he couldn’t do it by myself. I really and strongly dislike and oppose it as it contains Shirk. What should I do in such stuation?
