ANSWER:

No problem in keeping a cat as a pet, you don’t need to renew the wudu if the cat touches you. 

The prohibition is in buying and selling cats. 

Please advise about keeping cat as a pet if it is okay or otherwise. Moreover, does a person need to do fresh Wadu after playing with Cat or has to change his cloths etc. after touching the cat.
