It is not in islam to force a girl into a marriage without her will and you are already saying you will not be a dutiful wife, by this I am already sensing unlikely circumstances sooner in your married life, hence it is better that you take stand now and simply seek divorce rather than doing the same at a later stage, when the harm done would be bigger.

I also suggest you to do istikhara before you take any final decision, so as to prevent yourself from any form of regret later Insha’Allah

my marriage has not been consummated. before the nikkah when my parents asked for whether i was in agreement with cousin, i had rejected but was pressurised to say yes. i went to pakistan and the nikkah took place. i signed the papers (with my heart content) and tried to be happy for my family. i know i will not fulfil my duty as a wife and want a divorce. family aren’t agreeing. what do i do?
