It is not permissible to surprise your wife by arriving from a long journey without notifying her. The Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa salla forbade this so that she can get ready for you and you won’t see what you may not like from her!

I’m newly married man from india but work/stay in ksa. In’sha’Allah i want to goto india after 2 weeks to meet my parents and wife. I informed my mother but i have not informed my wife, as i want to surprise her. Is surprise visit allowed.

i work as a bus driver in a non muslim country. when passengers enter the bus i normally greet them first before they greet. and when i meet my other colleagues when driving i greet them by waving my hand first. is it allowed? or do i have to wait until they greet me?
