The pot is gambling! If they all pay for the court, regardless of who wins, this is permissible.

I wish to play basketball with friends but every member will have to pay a contribution for a pot money. The pot money will be given to the winner of the game. Is this gambling. Sometimes every member will pay for the rent of the court but i not sure about the pot money.
