One must not participate in such competitions. If it includes paying money, this is gambling. If it doesn’t but it is conducted to the members only
this might be the same concept.

Besides, there must be awrah exposed, music played and one would expose himself to evil eye.

I love to make myself fit and strong and i generally lift heavy. At the same time i keep my prayers on time without missing them and other ibaadah. But in my gym they arrange monthly competitions of who can lift most weights and etc. Is participating in such competitions allowed? Please note they do give prizes like cash money or coupons for getting discount in sports supplements
