This is not from the sunnah but it is not an innovation! The sunnah is to make one Umrah per journey. However, if you make your second Umrah for your father, this is permissible.

I heard that it is a bidah that if we go umrah, and we do our umrah and the next day, we do it for our father/mother’s umrah (who passed away), is this a bidah? Sheikh ——- said it is an innovation, I need to do it for myself (first time) and also for my father that passed away, in sha Allah next year January.
