ANSWER:

Don’t argue with them and let your husband explain it to them. Don’t participate with them in it. 

I have told my in-laws I don’t celebrate birthdays anymore but they took it the wrong way thinking I’m saying I’m getting older and it’s for kids. I went quiet as they don’t understand anything I say when it comes to Islam and they don’t like to be told. My mil said its ok to do kids birthdays. How do I deal with a situation like this?
