QUESTION: If my younger brother is my wali, and orders me to do his laundry, polish his shoes, serve him food, massage his feet, AM I OBLIGED to do all this bcz he is qawwam/authoritian over me?

ANSWER: No, you’re not obliged to serve him! He is your wali when it comes to marriage.

QUESTION: My family is not financially stable and I’m trying my best with what Allah has blessed me sometimes it’s hard for my parents to eat they sacrifice for my siblings, Also I want to get married but I want to ask you for advice whether to wait for everything to be alright before getting married or the best opinion

QUESTION: My son loved a girl and wanted to marry her. As a mother, I agreed at first because I wanted his happiness. Later, I learned the girl planned to hide their relationship from her parents to make it seem like an arranged marriage.I disagreed with that, & since then, my son has spoken harshly, blaming me for ruining his life. Was I wrong to stop their marriage?

ANSWER: If you wanted her to expose their relationship to her parents before proposing, this is prohibited and immodest! Who in his right mind would tell a girl to expose herself like this to her parents? Allah has concealed their sin and you want to expose it?

ANSWER: If he specified what it is to be spent on, then you are obliged to obey him and give him whatever remains of it.

QUESTION: I have a horrible relationship with my father, I have a speech impediment, I can’t communicate anything with him, and I’m scared I won’t go to Jannah. I have no will to fix our relationship, im way too tired.

ANSWER: You can always write to him if you are unable to speak clearly. You must fix what is broken between you two if you want to go to paradise.

QUESTION: Is a 16 or 15 year old sinful if he doesnt listen to his parents(in things that doesnt benefit them and etc)for example if they say to him ”dont eat your nails” or ”dont wrestle whit your friends(for fun)”or”dont eat your candy now” and he answer to them and says okey(because if he doesnt say okey they will get angry at him so he just says okey)but he still does them?

QUESTION: I’ve applied for a job and told the boss that i want to pursue it, because ive regarded it as better for me from an islamic perspective in comparison to the job i had before. My father did not approve of it and still does not approve it. My question is was it blameworthy for me to go for this job and telling the boss i want to start, even though my father did not allow it.
