QUESTION: My nonmuslim parents now accept my reversion to Islam and invited me home. But my abusive brother who is against our Deen and known to be abusive to all of us (mentally, physically, verbally) may react badly. Should I still visit, and how to handle it Islamically?

QUESTION: If I wanted something from my parents and they didn’t give it but later after few days/months they may give me money for haram and halal occasions like birthday and eid so if I reject it due to being angry with them because they didn’t give things I wanted earlier then am I sinful?

ANSWER: If your husband is a good man and they had agreed to him earlier, ignore their demand even if it leads to cutting you off and disowning you as they are wrongdoers and they are transgressing by asking you to do such a heinous thing

QUESTION: My mother is mentally, physically and emotionally ill, her life is really bad. She’s depressed because of the stress in her life. She’s also very angry when I try to practice Islam. I’m scared that she might get worse and might even die. I’m one of the big reasons why she’s like this. Would I be sinful if I do sins like tabarujj or lying so that she doesn’t get worse.

ANSWER: No, this is not permissible at all as there’s no pleasing or obedience to anyone at the cost of displeasing and disobedience to Allah!! Either your mother would enter hell alone or you will accompany her! This is your choice.

QUESTION: If my parents ask me not to do something that is voluntary — like voluntary fasts — am I still allowed to do that or do I obey my parents?

ANSWER: Order her to wear proper clothes when she is riding with you and request from your parents to force her to do so. Otherwise, you won’t be able to drive her to school. She has to cooperate with you in order for you to cooperate with her.

QUESTION: Yesterday my father and mother got into an argument and my father began hitting my mother. To stop him i pushed him away from her and held his hands so he couldn’t hit her. I don’t know if I hurt him and it wasn’t my intention to. I didn’t strike him, but I did look at him with anger. Is what I did sinful?

ANSWER: Yes You should have shielded your mother so that she wouldn’t get hit, but have no right to hold his hands like this or look at him with anger!

QUESTION: My dad invested wd a friend, business went to loss for both of them but his friend asked fr money & its not easy for me to pay bec im the only earner.
