In past due to second marriage we were abused in all ways and given no money and mostly lived through the charity of people eventhough my father is of very high post. Now that we have grownup but now my only brother have lost his control. He beats shouts at father to take money saying that’s the only way.he doesn’t do work but always shout saying thats what happens when you abuse a child.

My father does not take care of me and I have become the responsability of my brothers. Unfortunatly they see me as a burden now. They keep pushing me to go find a job. The problem is that I live in France and I’ll have to work without hijab and with mens. What should I do ?

ANSWER: You must not jeopardize your Islam for anyone. It is not permissible for women to work or study in mixed environments. Simply refuse in working in a mixed environment and ask them to get you married if you are a burden on them.

ANSWER: You must stay out of their business and let your mother handle it. You as his child must be tolerant, obedient and dutiful to both of your parents while anticipating your reward from Allah alone. You can remind him about Allah and advise him when he is in a good mood.

Me and my father built a house over the period of few years. My father’s contribution is maximum. However, now my wife is also planning to help us monetarily from her own money to pay off the debts we accumulated for building the house. So there is no clear bifurcation of who invested how much. My father doesn’t care about me and my siblings or our mother. He doesn’t offer salah and hasn’t read the Qur’an and doesn’t believe in these things. We are tired of his behaviour. He has destroyed our family business and has been doing self destructive things since the last few years. He doesn’t listen to anything we say.
