Sheikh I want to know whether in islam is only the husband allowed to get angry and burst out n shout at wife or the wife is also allowed to express her anger whenever he is wrong? Because I feel I am not allowed to be angry at all, even if I try he asks me watch my tone n behave, how is this fair sheikh?

ANSWER: A wife is not a slave! She is not obliged to obey the husband in everything he tells her unless it is related to his rights as a husband such as in the way she looks etc. If he tells her to stand and not to sit, she is not obliged to obey him!

ANSWER: No problem in making dua without having any contact with her. However, you would want to marry a woman who would be an ideal mother of your children who would raise them on islam and not someone who may reject Islam and run away with your children and make them follow her religion!

Are we allowed to marry Christians and try to convert them afterwards?

ANSWER: Marrying a chaste Christian woman is permissible but it is not advisable. If they choose to convert by themselves and out of their own will, this is fine but one can’t guarantee that this would happen or that she won’t negatively impact the children to be christians!

A man who, whenever he ask wife for sex but accepts it if she asks to wait for another time, out of desire to not cause discomfort for her, & only has sex if she’s ‘in the mood’. From Islam’s perspective, do we praise this man for being considerate to wife’s feeling or do we say he should not do this as it may give bad encouragement to wife (eg it may end up that she keeps doing this)?

ANSWER: He is rewarded for being considerate providing this doesn’t harm him.

I wanna marry someone but as per my knowledge he is engaged in some prohibited things . He Don’t wanna marry me as he can’t talk to his family members and I’m thinking that I should pray for him that Allah changes him and open door of marriage for me with him.
