QUESTION: If a non-Muslim girl from a very strict Hindu family wants to revert to Islam, but fears her parents will harm or kill her if she does, and she fears Allah’s punishment in Hell, can she marry a Muslim man to save herself? If yes, how can she marry, considering her father (a non-Muslim) is her Wali (guardian)?

ANSWER: She must take the shahada immediately and then go to the local authorised islamic center and the imam there would become her wali and give her in marriage to the Muslim man. Her father is a kafir and has nothing to do with her marriage.

QUESTION: I’m looking to marry a woman who has had multiple relationships in the past. She has changed her ways now completely but that thought of her being with someone else really disturbs me and bothers me a lot. What can I do to fix myself to make sure this relationship works?

ANSWER: Your son-in-law is mahram to you and like your own son, however, if your husband is not comfortable with him being around when he’s not at home, you must not invite them in his absence.

QUESTION: My son is 24 yrs and I am getting him married. Problem is that he doesn’t pray regularly, like he prays jumaa and 1-2 prayers a day. Some days no prayer at all. He also has anti islamic views. Can I look for a religious girl (niqaabi) for his marriage? is it ok if I do this? Do I need to tell the girl his prayer status?

QUESTION: I read from an islamic page about polygamy. from the perspective that the Lawgiver has enjoined it, then what we must do is be content and happy with it.
