QUESTION: I always try to give salam to my husband’s relatives but some of them don’t like it and don’t reply back and it makes me feel stupid so I feel like giving greeting them in an Islamic way. Should I keep giving them salam or just say normal hello?

ANSWER: Keep giving them salam and if they don’t reply, they are sinful and Angels would reply to your salam instead.

QUESTION: Am I allowd to talk to my husbands brthr. He doesn’t tlk to me bcs I’m a non mahram. But I try to tlk to him, he still doesn’t talk or start a conversation with me like how he talks to his sisters. Is it haram for him to talk to me?

ANSWER: What he is doing is the right thing to do! Fear Allah and don’t be an advocate of satan! It’s not permissible for you to chit-chat, socialize or hang around with him as he’s a non mahram to you and you must be in complete hijab in front of him.

QUESTION: Is it permissible for my brother to be with us in one house as I am newly married so is he mahram to my wife. Or is it permissible to sit and eat in one table

ANSWER: This is totally prohibited as he is non mahram to your wife and a total stranger to her.

QUESTION: Been married to my husband for 5 years and have 1 small daughter. In laws keep on telling vulgar things about my family. They never can accept my husband having good relation with them. My mother in law is the main person to use my father in law as a weapon to always trigger my husband. Son has stopped contact with them for our peace orelse they just make everything worse. What should I do ?

ANSWER: He is sinful for not contacting them. He should go and be dutiful and respectful to them but must not reply to their abuse or defend you or your family. Let them talk as if they are crazy talking to themselves without replying to them.

QUESTION: When my parents come to visit me and my children my wife misbehaves with them and fights with me afterwards saying that my parents have no right to come in my house. My parents live in their own house normally. I know that my wife has the right to a separate house in Islam but can she refuse to allow my parents to come to my house for a visit also?

ANSWER: She has no right to stop them from visiting you in your house as this is your house! She can object to them living there but not to visiting you!
