I am a Revert… recently told my parents about my reversion.They are very angry,not eating food etc. I am also in pain Bcz of their condition. How should I deal with them without compromising in my deen? Is there any dua which I can make for them and myself to get relief in our pain.

My father passed away, please make dua for him. Most of his life my father did not pray, nor fasted nor paid zakah and accumulated interest on his wealth. Now what should we do as his inheritors first? Will the wealth inherited be halal for us if Zakah and interest is not taken out? How shall we compensate for his fasts? The calcuation of 40 years is hard.

ANSWER: The inheritance is halal for you all as the haram money is only haram for the person earning it and not for anyone else. If he had not fasted deliberately without any valid reason then you must not fast these on his behalf.

i am a working unmarried woman. i work and study on scholarship. i’m under pressure. my dad has hold of all my earning and doesn’t let me have even a bit of it. he doesn’t spend it himself, it’s being accumulated. i am always short of money and i can’t spend on things i like. is it permissible for parents to claim children’s income and not let them have part of it?

ANSWER: They have no right on your money.

My mother did something to me that hurts my heart every time it crosses my mind although I have forgiven her. My heart grieves and I try my best to stop thinking about it so it won’t affect my relationship with her yet it’s difficult. Is it right if I informed her about it so it won’t happen again and so I may experience peace in sha Allāh?

My father is alive and have debts with kafirs in business which are very old , forgotten and leaved by giver thinks as it wont come at all. Is it am i obligatory to go to the givers and settle my father debt so that i will help my father for his aakirah?

ANSWER: You’re not obliged to pay off your father’s debts. However if you help him in this due to your own will and if your father is not financially capable of paying off the debts himself then you would be rewarded for that.

My parents are pending or giving my sister worth of 15 lakhs in her marriage, do they need to spend the same amount for me also because of equal rights. Now I feel sad that they won’t give me that bcoz not of money, they’re saying we should only give to girls. Is it my right to ask the same from them or to do the same for me or its their wish to give how much ever they want.

My father mcked and I really got hurt and I didn’t speak anything but with my foot kicked heating device a little because the mock was related to it. ANSWER: This is absolutely prohibited. You must immediately discontinue this and sincerely repent to Allah. There’s no obedience to anyone at the cost of disobedience to Allah. However you must be diplomatic and respectful towards your parents in all situations but keep firm on your decision and not continue this class at all.
