My husband wears a gold ring with a sapphire stone in it . He says he’s using it as a medicine as it helps him to not get depressed anxiety anger and tension . Is it permissible for him to wear it or is it haram on him

ANSWER: This is not permissible at all. Wearing gold is prohibited for men and wearing such metals for cure is not permissible if not proven to be a cure from authentic medical field.

In my friend’s family, when a child is born, they ask a Baba/molvi for baby’s name. He somehow figures out that baby’s name must start with M or S or whatever. They believe that if they don’t name their baby starting with the alphabet their Molvi told, it will not be good for the baby. I know this is a total innovation but I can’t find anything to support this fact and correct my friend.

ANSWER: This is shirk! To believe that the fate of a child is dependent on selecting a specific letter for his name which was recommended by this soothsayer, this is shirk.

I am going to marry a guy who believes in reading fatiha on food, praising Abdul Quader Jeelani rahimahullah extravagantly, visiting righteous people’s graves, etc. Alhamdulillah, I do not believe in such innovations but I really don’t want to take a step back from marrying him. Please advice me

ANSWER: They are intruding on this title to confuse the masses! We should abide by this title and explain to the people that they are innovators using such a name to fool others.

Sheikh I was scrolling through Instagram and came across a post which I thought was a meme. I read the meme unconsciously and accidentally until I realized it was talking about zodiacs and astrology. I quickly scrolled away. I’m scared but does this mean my salah won’t be accepted for 40 days? I wasn’t seeking nor intending on reading that at all.

ANSWER: This does not invalidate your prayer of 40 days if it was unintentional and you immediately stopped reading it.

There are only 2 mosques in my region and the imams of both mosque believe that prophet (PBUH) is from the noor of Allah. So should I pray behind one of them? or I should pray in one of these mosque alone without jamat. Can i pray at home without jamat?

ANSWER: It’s not permissible at all to pray behind such an imam who believes in this deviant aqeedah. You can pray on your own after the congregation is over and others can join you or pray home and can form a congregation with other male members.

My frd’s got serious headache recently. Her mom & frnd forcedly took her to an old man called “baba” seems pious muslim, then after reading st he said she had evil eyes on her, then he read st and blew on her. He said lemons r sadqa or 1 goat but she cn’t afford goat so bring lemon next day, also she’s to squeeze lemon daily in bath water for 5 days. I feel this is like shirk. What should she do?

Is it permissable to visit darga ,and it’s not permissable to build it self , I know it shirk to go there , but still maulana here go there , they say we go there not to do anything but pray for them and look the interior, Like Haji Ali in Mumbai and khaja garib nawaz in Ajmer.

ANSWER: This is not permissible as such places are shrines of shirk where people come to worship the deceased and ask them for their needs.

Sheikh my question is, what’s the ruling on giving someone blessing n said may Allah n his prophet keeps you good may Allah n his prophet do this that ,may Allah n his prophet keeps you safe etc ?

ANSWER: This is not permissible at all. You cannot mention the prophet’s ,salla alaihi wasallam, name like this while Making duaa as this mounts to shirk.
