On what basis we define that this act is minor shirk. Eg. Turning away from father is a disbelief but hadith does not mention that it major or minor. How does scholars claim that this is minor shirk.

ANSWER: This has nothing to do with shirk as you are not attributing their success to their ability alone but indicating the reasons and means that led to that after Allah’s decree and approval and guidance.

If person claims that he can know future events (e.g. how many children he will have) by praying to Allah through dream, should we believe him? Or he should be termed as Kafir, so do person believing his claim?

ANSWER: Talking to satan and asking him is shirk and you shouldn’t have done that. Ask Allah for forgiveness and only ask Allah to protect you and to guide you.

My sister in law to be had passed away some months due to dengue after I got engaged. A couple of months after I got married my mother in law passed away due to covid. Now my sister’s in law think I am unlucky for their family. Is there anything in Islam in agreement with this theory where a person brings death or bad luck in the family after coming into it?

ANSWER: This is absolute nonsense and a superstitious belief that has got nothing to do with Islam! Such belief can mount to shirk.

In my place people sing a song starting “ya nabi salam alaika” . It has some words like you are forgiver of our sins or something like it. Can we pray behind someone who says it. If someone sings it without knowing it’s meaning does takfeer ( it its kufr) apply on him.

I wanted ask that what should I do about this matter , I saw in one of your videos that pointing feet towards qibla is not a sin but when I told my family about this they got really furious and started telling me that one of my aunt got really sick because their bed was pointed towards the qibla and that she recovered as soon as she changed her bed’s direction.

I am a revert and I was told Shirk is the greatest sin in Islam and Allah forgives all sins except Shirk. Also that whoever commits shirk will never enter Jannat. During jahiliyah I committed shirk does it mean the records of shirk are still in my book despite me embracing Islam?

ANSWER: Allah forgives all sins, including shirk as long as the person sincerely repents to Allah while showing deep remorse. However, if a person dies without repenting from shirk, this is what Allah doesn’t forgive and that person is doomed in hell forever.
