QUESTION: Is it okay if i keep track of the sunnah prayers i pray in a notebook so that i can see my results and in which ones i need to focus more? I have set a goal to myself to pray the second sunnah of Dhuhr for 21 days so that i make it a habit, and i am keeping track of it every single day? Is it okay if i do so? Or should i stop doing it? Thank you.

ANSWER: What counts is whether the prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam and his companions did it or not! What others did after that doesn’t count to be part of Islam as the religion was completed at the time of the prophet and wiping the face was not part of it.

QUESTION: People buy Kafan (deadboy cloth) for themselves in advance during their lifetime and keep them. Is it allowed? Then people take it to Makkah and get it washed (ghusl) in zamzam water. They also get different ayats and duas written or imprinted on them. I have never heard of this before and it turns out that this is a practice on a huge level amongst Muslims in the Subcontinent (India/Pak).

ANSWER: No problem in buying the kafan but taking it to makkah and washing it with zamzam and writing ayahs on it is totally prohibited and an innovation.

QUESTION: Sheikh, what is the ruling on blowing on Others after making duaa or blowing on yourself after dua then rubbing the body?

ANSWER: This is not from the sunnah and it is an innovation. One can blow on his hands and wipe his body if he is reciting ruqya for healing and cure.

QUESTION: Shalawat Karimil aba iwal ummahat, Tafrijiyah,Nuril Mubin etc. I understand some Holy person claimed Nabi SAW came into their dreams & taught them.Doing these shalawat as dzikir, helps in terms of reqzi.Such shalawat have been passed down as ijazah to those who learn from these Holy person.Can we follow such teaching & do this as our dzikirullah?
