Sheikh in my father’s office there is a picture on the wall. In this picture ya Ali is written. I told my father this is not right but he did not listen to me. He did not hang this in fact it was alredy there when he bought the office. Is it shirk/kufr if i go to that office?

ANSWER: Hanging such a picture is wrong and saying ya Ali is means of shirk! There is no sin upon you once you have advised him or upon entering that office.

Using a taweez given by a peer who said it has words of Allah is this also shirk?

ANSWER: This is not correct as the ruling is clear and it is not permissible to hang taweez or talisman whether made of Quran or of anything else. Sheikh how authentic it is in islamic point of view to name a child after calculating the day,time, stars and signs etc. My in laws believe in doing so but I find it very weird and don’t want to do it for my child. But my in laws and husband get very offended. Would appreciate your guidance over this.

ANSWER: This is totally prohibited and would mount to Shirk.

My question is my family wants my sister to get married and my sister absolutely happy about it,but my family visited a peer in order to let know that is our match good for future or not ,where peer told my mother that this relationship will end up once these people get married as I see the stars of the boy ,his mother and girls and girls mother doesn’t match , kindly let us know

ANSWER: What this person has said is absolutely baseless as he’s a soothsayer and asking him and believing in him would take a person out of the fold of Islam. Your sister should pray Istekhara.

ANSWER: This is not permissible at all as this person is a fortune-teller and what he’s doing is totally prohibited. Believing him and what he says nullifies a person’s Islam. Going to him without believing him makes the prayers of 40 days with no reward at all! Show her to a good pediatrician.

I want to ask you many people here in pakistan beleive in peer o mushid in which they beleive our peer help us in difficulties as that peer(person) is dead already. They beleive that peer who was a very nobel person indeed is a frield(wali) of Allah and Allah grant him every thing so he (that nobel person) can give any thing to his followers that they demand but on his own wish.

ANSWER: This kind of belief is a major shirk which takes a person out of the folds of Islam.

As i m revert my mom thinks smbdy has done smthing to me and she wants me to come to dargah.1 muslim baba she met.i agreed to go just becoz i want him to tell my parents nothing happened to me and make them understand that i have accepted islam by allah s mercy..
