ANSWER: Do not let her taunts make you doubt the authentic things. Be respectful towards her all the time while strictly adhering to the Quran and the authentic sunnah.

My mom asks me to cover my head during azan, eating and going to toilet but I don’t listen to her because it is not authentic. Am I sinful for neglecting her?

ANSWER: No, however, you must be diplomatic and show her proof and evidence for this from the Quran and Sunnah with good manners, wisdom, knowledge, and diplomacy and never cross the line of respect.

Shaykh, is it a confirmed sunnah to step on the mimbar for jummah with the right foot first. This brother in our masjid verbally attacked the imam because he saw him for 3 consecutive weeks step on the mimbar with his left foot

ANSWER: There is no preference on which foot to use while going up the mimbar. If this brother fails to provide evidence from the authethic hadeeth to back his claim, he must not be allowed to bad mouth the Imam as this brother is an ignorant imbecile.

ANSWER: If there are no non mahram around, no need to cover herself up with hijab while doing anything. Hijab is not a requirement for dua or wudhu.

Is it innovation if i add others dikhrs with after fard prayer dikhrs?? Should we not add others dikhrs apart from prescribed dikhrs??

My mil do some traditional events, which are being followed in Pakistan, like milad, Quran khuwani, to give khair for the sake of imam. I used to make my husband understand that it is working in our islam. But nobody thinks rights. How I deal with them? And should I also follow them. As it’s inlaws issue.

ANSWER: It is not permissible to follow such bidah, or be a part of them. Give advice in a diplomatic way to your husband and show him evidence of it. If they don’t want to listen, you have done your job.

I’ve heard that reciting the last 3 ayahs of surah Hashr in congregation after Fajr prayer is an Innovation. So when people starts to recite the ayahs in congregation should stop saying my “adhkars after the fard prayers” and just listen to them because they are reciting from the Qur’an or should I continue my adhkars?
