QUESTION: Can I read a dua and pray to ALLAH to write the rewards for someone dear to me? for example,if I read Astagfirullah 1000 times ,and ask ALLAH to give rewards of 500 times to someone else? If yes,can it be done for both muslim and non-muslim?

QUESTION: I was driving my grandfather and we were passing a graveyard. He said: “Stop here so I can recite Al-Fatiha to someone in the graveyard.” I knew that reciting Al-Fatiha is an innovation but I still stopped so he could visit the graveyard but I hoped he would also do something beneficial for the deceased like making a dua. Did I assist the sin?

ANSWER: In sha Allah you did not but you should have brought it to his attention that this is an innovation and the prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam had never done that in his life.

QUESTION: Am I obliged to clean my backside with water if I don’t see any impurities on my underpants before prayer, can I just do wudu and read namaz?

ANSWER: We wash our private parts only after answering the call of nature! Washing it before making wudhu is the doing of the shia and it is an innovation.

QUESTION: My local masjid(Uk) have weekly(Thursday)gathering named IJTIMA (sunnah inspired) to share Islamic knowledge. Also congregational adhkar, dua and meal at end. Is there any evidence for this ? Is this even permissible?
