QUESTION: If a wife willingly contributes her own income towards household expenses for some years, and later she decides not to spend from her income anymore, is it permissible in Islam for her to ask her husband to return the money she had spent before? Would it be considered haram for her to ask for it back?

ANSWER: This is not permissible as she spent that money by her own will unless she made it clear to him from the beginning that this is a loan and a debt on him to her.

QUESTION: If 2 people look at each other and instead of saying something they laugh at the 3rd person who is with them without the 3rd person knowing, is this a major sin or a minor sin?

ANSWER: If you had nothing to do with it, you are not sinful. However, you must cut off your friendship with such an evil friend and show her that you don’t want anything to do with her.

QUESTION: 5 years ago I wasnt practicing Islam and there was an incident where I sold a car to a dealer and I told him about all its information,also about one large scratch on the doors,which he didn’t see before, but I didn’t mention that the car was making a certain noise sometimes when driving. He never got back to me, but I feel bad, because of not saying something. Am I sinful/what is the ruling here?

ANSWER: If such defects are something you would not want to find in your car and you would feel cheated if the owner concealed it and did not tell you about it, this is cheating and haram money.

QUESTION: When i was below 7 i saw a nice earing on my preschool ground and i took it home. now im 16. my mother has that and she doesnt use it and idk what to do. can she keep it? (i think its gold)

QUESTION: I’m a medical student at a university requiring 85% attendance. Lecturers take attendance via a QR code scanned through an app, but majority of my classmates scan it from home without attending. Attending lectures consumes significant study time, so I’m considering doing the same to prioritize my learning while technically meeting attendance requirements.

QUESTION: Dad gives me money for allowance and tells me to spend it on food, not to spend it on charity. I spent it on charity, so am I sinful?

ANSWER: If he specified what it is to be spent on, then you are obliged to obey him and give him whatever remains of it.

QUESTION: If i watch a movie in theatre will it be considered openly sining and will it come under the category of “no forgiveness for openly sinning”? and what if it doesnt contain any haram hypothetically?

ANSWER: Yes, this is considered as sinning openly as you are doing it in public and everyone is watching you.

QUESTION: If my relatives ask me about my salary, or the price of my clothes etc and I tell them less salary than actual, as I am afraid of evil eye and jealousy and might be they feel lesser than me if i tell them the actual amount, does it count a lie? If yes then what should I say to them?My intent is to hide my blessings and rizq and not let them feel less blessed

ANSWER: Lying is not permissible. No problem in dodging their question with a joke to deter them from asking

QUESTION: is it haram to ignore people?am i sinful or punished or get punished on yawm al qiyamah if for example an elder i know but isnt my kinship or a random asks me randomly in the street can you help me whit the grocieres and i ignore because i dont want to talk right now?

ANSWER: This is not sinful but it is rude and unkind and you will be treated in a similar fashion in the future when you are in need of such help yourself
