ANSWER: Of course not! The Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam said: he who doesn’t thank people, doesn’t thank Allah.

QUESTION: What should I do when my mother tells me to recharge the Dish TV? I try not to watch TV, but she always shouts at me if I deny. I haven’t watched TV for the last 9 months because my Islamic teacher advised me to stop watching it. What is the Islamic point of view on this? Or if someone watches am I sinful for that?

ANSWER: You’ll be sinful if you know for sure she watches haram things on tv and you must not help her or assist her on that while trying to explain to her and being diplomatic at the same time.

QUESTION: I was saying that with some sheikhs you kind of fear doing or saying something wrong in front of them, because you know they really practice Islam well. So you don’t behave the same: if you’re usually very extraverted, making jokes even with the opposite gender, you won’t do it as much. And if you’re vulgar, you’ll watch your words. Is this fear bad or shirk?

ANSWER: They are both sinful but she is more sinful than him as she is an adult and she is responsible for her actions.

QUESTION: There was a non-Muslim boy in my class and even though I did not want , I felt attracted towards him. It had been only 3-4 months since he left the class, but even now his thoughts keep coming to my mind. I don’t want to think about him still the thoughts keep coming to my mind . What should I do ?

ANSWER: Repent to Allah while showing deep remorse and sincerity for allowing your gaze to roam freely once you knew he was fitnah for you.

QUESTION: Does often free mixing turn into major sin? For example, as a woman I am trying to limit free mixing especially at work but fall in it at times so what erases it do I need to ask for forgiveness every time or which acts erase it?

ANSWER: These are the traps of Shaytan to drag your feet into hell. Don’t look at the size of the sin, look at Whom you are sinning against! It is not permissible for a woman to work or study in a mixed environment.

QUESTION: Can I travel in a auto rickshaw which is open with non mahram driver as most of the times there are no passengers available and I have to take auto and go to the nearby places in the city

ANSWER: Being alone in seclusion with a non mahram man is not permissible. But if it is not in seclusion and it is in the open air and he is not alone with you, this seems permissible.
