QUESTION: My sister wear tight cloths and go out by not wearing hijab and advice her but she dosen’t listen and i didn’t see her husband advicing her as if he dosen’t have a problem so am i sinful and is her husband dayouth?

ANSWER: There is no sin upon you, since you advised her. If he allows his wife to behave immodestly like this, then he is.

QUESTION: I’ve helped a friend of mine buy a genuine car (who has no knowledge about) but I have kept a cut of money by internally discussing it with seller and not informing my friend about it. Am I wrong here?

QUESTION: I went to the market with my friend because she had to buy herself a shirt. After buying her shirt she told me that she also had to buy one for a her male friend as she wanted to return his favour because he bought her gifts. I told her I wouldn’t assist her in sin and insisted to go back home but she refused. So I left her and went back home alone. She was hurt. But what I could’ve done?

QUESTION: I asked my family (parents + sisters) if I could have some of their unused items, mainly clothes they rarely wear or use since living in another city, plus things my mom impulsively buys but doesn’t use. They agreed and gave permission, though they don’t know I plan to give these items to charity (sadaqah). Is this permissible?

ANSWER: No, this is not permissible if they are giving it to you thinking that you are going to use it. You must be clear with them and tell them you want to give it in charity and look at how they respond to you.

QUESTION: I have a 13 year old brother whom I caught watching indecent things on the internet. Instead of telling my parents I advised him. Because Telling parents would’ve caused chaos in the household. I am anxious that should I have told the parents instead and not have hide this?

ANSWER: You did the right thing by advising him and not exposing him to your parents. Try to govern his access to the internet and keep a careful watch on what he watches. If you see him do this again, you can tell your parents so that they can put a stop to it.

ANSWER: Thanking Allah is done by saying Alhamdulillah, praising Him azza wa jal and increasing in obedience to Him and doing good deeds.

QUESTION: Some Muslim men use derogatory terms for previously married women – “damaged goods,” “used goods,” “high-mileage cars,” or “low-value” women? They justify this by saying her “marriage market value” has decreased, isn’t this sinful and doesn’t it fall under violating the honour of another muslim with their tongue?

ANSWER: Of course this is derogatory ..this the way ignorant people speak.

QUESTION: It is said not to look at non-mahram women. First look by mistake is forgiven but not ye second one. I try my best not to look at women. But sometimes by mistake I do. My question is that if mistakenly I saw a woman yesterday and see her today by mistake will I be sinful or not?

QUESTION: I’m a 22-year-old private university student. My internship is compulsory for graduation. I now strictly follow Islam and avoid unnecessary interaction with non-mahram men.
