Is it true that when a calamity falls upon a muslim. Such as sorrow, grief, sickness and financial difficulties etc. Each of his sins will be erased and good deeds will be written on his account till he reaches Allah without any sins if Allah wills it. Although I make daily tawbah and istighfar I am haunted by my past sins and I get constant flashbacks of the way I used to be and the evil I committed in my past.
