I have done a whole bunch of sins and I want to repent, it’s just that I don’t feel regret. I have tried lots of things like thinking about the Hellfire, reading Quran etc. Why would Allah make repenting so difficult for me? I don’t understand! Do you know? I really want to be good but I just don’t feel the remorse.

You must block the means that provoke your desire. Cut off your television or internet and surround yourself with practicing Muslims 24/7.

Although I make daily tawbah and istighfar I am haunted by my past sins and I get constant flashbacks of the way I used to be and the evil I committed in my past. I am afraid my tawbah isn’t sincere enough and that I won’t be forgiven because there’s no guarantee. What can I do about this? How can I get the flashbacks to stop?

ANSWER: You may not be able to stop them as Satan is trying to pull your legs into falling again in such sins! Keep on fighting till your last breath and Allah will protect you.

Now a days many muslims do many unislamic actions and justify them to quote intensions are superior to actions. They even cross boundries of lawful and unlawful.

These people talk about religion without any knowledge. In Islam we are held accountable for every action we make.

I recently suggested 2 my cousin that her profile pic on WhatsApp was a bit too attractive. I’ve been dropping hints on improving on religion also for some time now. She blocked me in response. Similarly, when I advised my sis-in-law not to go in for the birth control operation, she said she knows it’s haraam but she did it. How best to deal with such relatives who knowingly sin?

Make du’a for them along with what you are doing. You have done your obligation and the sin is on them.

Someone I know said that her mother often tells her to lie. For example, when one of her mum’s friends calls sometimes her Mum tells her to say she’s not home when she is. And sometimes when her mum’s friend knocks she tells her to say she’s not at home. What should one do in his circumstance? Does the person get sinned for lying?

Yes, they are sinful for this, one must not obey his parents in disobeying Allah.

What shud I do if someone ask me about my sinful actions in past for example did u listen to this or watch such and such a thing and its hard to avoid answering them…???And if they ask how did i change from my past, can i say Allah had given hidayah for me, is it like being proud or something…???

No problem in keeping the names unless they contain any bad meaning. They should not change their father’s names though. It’s totally prohibited to be called after any name other than your father’s.

I wanted to know if we can challenge our friends for something and in return if we win they must give us money and if we lose we must give them money. Is it allowed for us to take that money if we win or give money if we lose?
