Someone asked on twitter if someone repented from major sins wheter he will be asked on the day of judgement or that the sins will be erased. You said he will be shown the sin. Why? Do you mean by that that he will be shown the sin but he will be also forgiven? Can you please elaborate

ANSWER: Yes, he will be shown his sins and then Allah will give him the glad tidings that Allah has forgiven him.

After the death, the parents are accountable for all the good n bad deeds of their children? Whatever their children’s are doing they need to be answerable?

ANSWER: The parents are accountable for whatever sins they allowed their children to do without advising them and are rewarded if they brought their children up on Islam. However,nosoul shall bear the weight of another’s sins and everyone is responsible for their own sins on The Day of Account.

Shaykh, will it be backbiting if I watch a TV show where it criticizes and speaks ill of a person (eg.The president)?

ANSWER: This is a waste of time.

My question is that, for someone who has committed sins in the past and has repented and now found out that because of their past sin they caught a disease. Can they tell the gynecologist about it to help them diagnose and get treatment or they should keep quiet? As we know in Islam it is forbidden to tell about his sin.

years back I was in relationship with a girl everything was going alright But suddenly one day she told me that she doesn’t want to be with me anymore I got frustrated and my friend suggested me to visit witchcraft ! ANSWER: These are two separate things! Athkar is for protection and watching drama and listening to music draws devils into the home and one is sinful for that.

Is it right to reveal one’s past sins when one is asked (by one’s spouse-to-be/anyone) even though one has repented? What is the best way to respond to such questions? For example, When asked, “Have you ever had any sexual relations with anyone?”

ANSWER: You must NOT reveal about your sins to anyone EVER. You must dodge such questions or act offended and insulted and react in a way that they would never dare ask such things again.

We have days in the year which we can use if we are sick. Sometimes I have an appointment/event & I use it to call in sick. Is this ok?I’m salaried per 2 weeks so would the money be lawful even if I call for 1or2 day but the act itself haram bc I’m not really sick? Sometimes it’s the only way to get it off. Sometimes I go on a day I’m feeling sick to save that day for another time.Is that ok?

I want to leave watching YouTube videos. Is it okay that I think if I don’t do this Allah give me more happiness in the world and hereafter. He will make my life and Akhirah easier.Or it is not good that I am asking him because I am leaving a sin. ANSWER: This is permissible. Whenever you refrain from doing something that is not allowed for the sake of Allah, Allah will reward you with sweetness in your heart and reward in paradise.

If someone want to seek guidance about a sin they have done, so only for the purpose of guidance are they allowed to expose their sin to someone?
