I often get scolded by my parents and siblings. They say what is the purpose, what is the use of your prayer when you just sin, disobey parents, don’t respect your elders etc. Why do you pray when you sin so much? Your prayers aren’t valid because you disobey parents etc. Does prayer not get accepted in such case?

I have been went to terrible heart break from a guy having relation from 5 years ,I am 21 now and everthing have fallen apart it breaks me every day .Salah and Duas is in track after i ended college.But my mind heart and brain keep telling me ok it happen he is gone i dont want him now .My past haunts me alot as i am fed up from myself.Parents help me to get out of this .

Sheikh, if there is a person who don’t know that this particular thing is minor or major sin, will he be accountable for that sin or he will not be asked bcz of the last 2 ayahs of surat al baqarah.!??

ANSWER: If he knows it is sinful but doesn’t know how serious the sin is, he will surely be accountable for that.

Sheikh my question is that if we get to know a bout sharai pardah at the age of 22 and before that our we took group photos with our university friends and chilhood photos with relatives.And now all the friends get married,we cant take that pictures from them.So would it be sin on us forever whenever any non mehrum would see them?What can we do now

ANSWER: Try to ask your friends who are from the same gender to delete those pictures. Other than that, there is no sin on you as you did that out of ignorance and as long as you had repented, Allah will forgive that sin.

does saying “La ilaha illa Allah Wahdahu la sharika lah lahul mulku walahul hamdu wahuwa ala kulli shain qadeer” a 100 times expiate for Major sins or only minor sins?

While doing tawbah with remorse and regret to Allah s.w.t. should we be sure that Allah s.w.t forgave our sins and move on while never mentioning it and forgetting it or should we constantly reminded it and plead to Allah s.w.t.

ANSWER: You are not allowed to disclose your past sins to anyone! If anyone asks, act offended by such a question. Allah has forgiven and concealed all of your previous sins. Who is he to ask you about them now?

If someone never returns to a sin but deep in his heart he doesn’t hate the sin. Is he considered to have repented from that sin?

ANSWER: No, repenting means to have deep remorse for that sin and making a firm intention not to do that again. Without remorse, it is not repentance.

My nephew is in search of job, i have touch in film industry. If i send him there, he can get any job like spotboy,assistant director, cameraman, actor, etc… film industry income is haram, so will i b there in sin equally with him for his income?

ANSWER: Yes. It is not permissible to facilitate or collaborate in sin. Advise him to find a halal job instead. You will share the same amount of sin as you were the one responsible for it.
