If I committed a sin with someone let’s say zina or anyother sin, can I call that person I sinned and tell/remind him/her to repent and ask for Allah forgiveness for the sin we committed together?

ANSWER: If this is zina then this is not permissible as it might lead to going back to sinning again. Part of repentance is to cut all communications totally with that person.

When we commit a sin we realise and pray 2 rakahs of salatul tauba to ask for forgiveness for that particular sin..but what about the sins we commited before..i know i have commited some major sins n i want Allah to forgive them. Is there any particular way or any namaz so that we can ask Allah for forgiveness for all the sins committed before?

ANSWER: You can pray salatul tawbah for the past sins as well, you should pray one prayer for one particular sin though.

What are the consequences of sins out of ignorance? If parents never tell kids what is haram and halal, how would they know what is prohibited?

ANSWER: As long as a person doesn’t know what he’s doing is sinful, he’s not punished for it because Allah doesn’t hold a person accountable for something he did out of ignorance or forgetfulness. However, he must learn at least the basics about Islam to differentiate between rewards and sins as this is well known.

I had done some big mistakes in pasT.but then i repented for them for a long tym and still repenting..but i always feel Rabb is angry with me..I always get that feeling that my repentance is not accepted or is not enough.And my heart is hardened. but i don’t want to think again about those sins..because whenever i think, it hurts me alot.i want to overcome that.

ANSWER: You must think positively about Allah as Allah is how you think of Him. Part of your repentance is to ask for forgiveness whenever you remember it. It is when you stop feeling remorse that you should start to worry. You must also increase in doing good deeds as good deeds erase bad ones.

Sheikh there is Hadith in sahi muslim whoever say subhan allahi wa bihamdihi 100 times in a day his sins will be erased even if they are like foam of sea .sheikh my question is all major and minor sins are erased

ANSWER: It is referring to minor sins.

A mother loves her son a lot and loves to praise him and make dua. He doesn’t mind the dua but dislikes the excessive praise as he feels some sort of arrogance building up inside him. He asked to her maybe limit it but she wants to continue so he just accepted. What must be do?

ANSWER: He must try to humble himself and remind himself that people don’t know his sins and shortcomings.

Besides manupulating us in religious activities, can devil/shaitan manupulate us in taking wrong decisions in our personal affairs, such as bussiness, study, buying something etc, and eventually direct us to an unwanted/loss/doom situation?

ANSWER: This is possible. However, it is you who is making the decision and satan simply advises you to do evil.

2 weeks back you sent me a link to my previous question regarding major sins. The islamqa link mentioned 7 Major sins. So if there are only 7 major sins, the rest are classed as Minor? Such as backbiting, hitting someone etc. And these minor sins can be wept off through ablution and prayer right? Kindly let me know if there are any other sins apart from Major and Minor

ANSWER: The major sins are not only 7 but they are more likely to be 70 as Ibn Abbas said. A Major sin is any sin that Allah has set a prescribed punishment over or threatened the one who does it with hell fire or cursing and being deprived from His mercy.

If some one took rights of others ( eg: stole from them) and the other person doesnt know. Should he be informed ? What should one do to be forgiven by Allah swt

ANSWER: He must return the rights of others and repent to Allah while showing deep remorse and sincerity. He can return it back without telling him.
