QUESTION: Can laymen do taqleed of deceased scholar like Ibn Uthaymeen, or of student of knowledge like u, from different country, or must one follow scholar from same country, even if he is a deobandi hanafi? Asking because I read on Islamqa that Ibn Uth. said that it’s best to follow scholar of own country, but what if he is deobandi and if I’ve already been following you and Ibn Uth. for some time now?

ANSWER: You don’t need to follow your own country in this.

QUESTION: I wanted to ask if the whole school system is halal, i go to a school (has men and women, seperate classrooms though) and the men dont talk to women, but we have female teachers, also it takes up around 10-12 hours of my everyday, allah created us to worship him not to go to school, is it harsm to g9 to school everyday and waste half your life just to get money when you grow older (dunya)
