QUESTION: Among us are people from different nations and skin colors,and sometimes we make jokes related to race or nationality just for fun,without serious intent.Is this sinful or considered kufr? And aside from jokes-if someone truly holds racist beliefs and looks down on others because of their race or ethnicity,is that considered kufr or just a major sin?

ANSWER: Looking down on others is arrogance which is a major sin and such a person will not be admitted to Jannah!

QUESTION: Is this 15yearold sinful if he lives in a kafir country with much fitnah(e.g.,girls without hijab,use of intoxicants,etc)and plays with boys football with them at school break(even tough they do haram while playing and cheat)and free time,and adds them on halal games,but avoids theirharam behavior,doesn’t take them asfriends,and hasnt been influenced by them at all?

ANSWER: This is not sinful if he avoids the haram! However, this is dangerous as satan is preparing him and setting him up to the right moment when he would drag his feet to sin when he is ready! He must hangout only with righteous practicing Muslims

QUESTION: Yesterday I bought some items and the cashier by mistake charged me 150 taka less than the actual price. I only realized this after I came home. Am I sinful for keeping this money, or what should I do?

ANSWER: Of course you’re sinful if you don’t return it! If he has charged you much more than you owe him, wouldn’t you go back to him asking him for your money?

ANSWER: This is not permissible as you have no right to throw away what is his, besides, he would just get more! You must advise him with good manners, wisdom, knowledge and diplomacy to stop.
