I am not a practicing muslim,whenever I start practicing sincerely,either the temptation of movies,games,wasting time gets to me or when I start gaining islamic knowledge,I get confusions and I become scared that I will be deviated, I give up. I become sincere for a period of time then I loose the motivation. Can you please advise me .May Allah reward you.

ANSWER: Allah guides those who He loves and makes them steadfast. If you don’t strive to be one of them, Allah will not guide you. You must put a lot of effort to be among the chosen ones so that Allah will guide you and make you steadfast.

There are hadiths like Arrogant people, those who backbite,those who show off there wives and sister they will never enter Jannah. Will they be in hellfire for eternity even though they never did shirk or kufr?

ANSWER: Allah will either forgive them or purify them in hellfire and then enter them into paradise as no Muslim will be in hell forever as long as he did not commit shirk.

Sheikh, in the past, I used to ride the local public transportation(Buses, subway) without paying and I would like to now pay them back an estimate of what I have wrongfully consumed. The problem is I’m not sure how to pay them back, as there isn’t anywhere I could find on their website on how to do so, what should I do in this case.

ANSWER: Give that much amount to poor Muslims, besides sincerely repenting to Allah while showing deep remorse.

I have had a long battle with mental illnesses, and sometimes when I eventually get overwhelmed or when a strong episode is triggered I may act in an irrational way and do haram things influenced by these problems or pervert my niyah. I would never do if I was in a healthy state. If I have no control on how I react to these things and am I sinful for these?

ANSWER: If you are classified as insane during such times and you don’t know day from night and are completely unaware of what you are doing then you are not accountable and Allah is your judge.

What should a person do/keep in mind if he had lost all hopes in giving up on a major sin or it feels too difficult for him to gave up on it but he still want to get rid off that sin ?

ANSWER: Giving up is like reserving your seat in the front row in hell! One must not give up and must always try and die trying.

If a person dies having haram videos (music, no modest clothing, etc..) on internet, and after his/her death those videos are still there, will that person be still getting sins if their videos are still being watched by people? Will they be accountable on the day of judgment for it?

ANSWER: Yes, the sin is continuous.

Does dying while committing a major or minor sin mean that the person will surely go to Jahannam and won’t have a chance to go to Jannah because he died disobeying Allah?

ANSWER: If a muslim dies while committing a major sin, he is still muslim and will be punished for that, unless Allah wills otherwise but eventually will enter paradise.

If the 3 conditions of seeking forgiveness isn’t fulfilled and a person without any regret or trying to stop that sin , asks Allah for forgiveness, will be his/her forgiveness accepted?

ANSWER: Repentance is not valid if he doesn’t feel remorse.

ANSWER: This is totally prohibited and considered exposing your sins.

Respected sheikh is it true that if a person is punished in the grave his punishment is lessened in the hereafter. Is there any evidence for this in quran and sunnah.

ANSWER: This is with Allah. No one is admitted into Jannah until they are purified from their sins. They could be punished in their graves until they are purified from their sins or, they could also go to hell temporarily, or Allah could forgive them altogether.
