QUESTION: There is a hadith about the Prophet saying: “I passed by the grave of Musa, peace be upon him, and he was praying in his grave.”. If yes is it true that dead people can pray and earn good deeds because we know the deeds of a person gets cut off after death except for three things as mentioned in another hadith.

ANSWER: This is not part of assignments that people would be rewarded for as after death, there is no accountability. This is a form of enjoyment the messengers of Allah are blessed with in their graves where such prayers is part of their favors and blessings from Allah that they enjoy.

ANSWER: This is an issue of dispute and the most authentic opinion is that this is not permissible especially if the deceased had been already prayed on by other Muslims before his burial

ANSWER: No, this is not permissible at all as Allah prohibited us from seeking forgiveness for non Muslims even if they were your own parents!

QUESTION: I have seen your previous videos on the permissibly of writing things on graves. You have said that it is permissible to have a small non-extravagant steel plate on top of the grave, and that writing the name upon it is permissible. But, is it permissible to have the date of birth and death (digits alone) on the grave?
