Are below things permissible on the grave of deceased: • Spraying/pouring normal water/rose water • Putting roses/lighting up incensed perfume sticks • Cementing/tiling grave for any reason, particularly so that it does not wash away & you know where the grave is when you visit • Put tombstones mentioning name, birth & death dates, grave number, having Arabic written etc • Reading Quran for dead

Is it permissible to have a plaque on a grave to identify the person and what is permissible to be inscribed on it. Can we have dates they passed away and some form of religious Quran text as well as loving husband or father. Does it have to be limited to just the name?

ANSWER: No problem in having a headstone with deceased name for identifying the grave but it’s totally prohibited to inscribe or write ayahs of Quran on the stone or to resemble the way of the Christians by using marble or the likes for decoration!

Those people who we knew was tyrant but was Muslim and in same way some People from different sect who died as muslims but they carry a lot of wrong aqeedah which didn’t put them beyond the fold of islam,CAN WE MAKE DUA FOR THEM (as they died as Muslim)AFTER THEY DIED AND ALSO POINT OUT THE MISTAKES AND WRONG DONE BY THEM??

ANSWER: You should make dua for them if they died on Islam! It’s not permissible to talk bad about the deceased as we are witnesses of them on this earth!

I got to know that the name of angel of death is not mentioned in quran. Then who is azrael ?

ANSWER: This is not permissible at all as it’s imitating the disbelievers which Prophet salla allahu alaihi wa sallam forbade.

My father passed away, please make dua for him. Most of his life my father did not pray, nor fasted nor paid zakah and accumulated interest on his wealth. Now what should we do as his inheritors first? Will the wealth inherited be halal for us if Zakah and interest is not taken out? How shall we compensate for his fasts? The calcuation of 40 years is hard.

ANSWER: The inheritance is halal for you all as the haram money is only haram for the person earning it and not for anyone else. If he had not fasted deliberately without any valid reason then you must not fast these on his behalf.

My Question is that Allah has made such a beautiful relationship between husband and wife then why at the death of either husband or wife it is not permissible to see either of them because it is one of the hardest times for either of them So why at that time it becomes Na-Mahram??..

ANSWER: What you have stated is absolutely baseless and fabricated and i believe only the people in the subcontinent do this! Husband and wife do not become non mahram after one of them dies. They can not only see the dead body, in fact the spouse can even give ghusl to the deceased spouse!
