Sheikh I fell into committing major sins and from that I try to restrain from it but I fall into it. But whenever I fall into such sins I learn about deen such as I am doing innovations I even started to ponder upon the Quran and study it. And every time I grew stronger. But I lose my iman. can u interprete it am i astray. sheikh.

ANSWER: You must try your level best to abide by the sunnah and to stay away from sin if you want to save yourself from hellfire. You must surround yourself with righteous practicing muslims, 24/7 in order to be saved from such whispers.

If there is a innovation done by the people of the masjid do we go to the imam about this if not how do we forbid it among all the people

ANSWER: You should do whatever it takes to convey to the people proper Islamic knowledge if you are knowledgable and know how to diplomatically advise people.

My father does not follow the teachings of Islam. He is very rude and treats me horribly. What bothers me most about him is that he does not practice cleanliness. For example, he makes a mess (he doesn’t clean up his dishes after eating, he drops food on the kitchen floor, he cleans his hands using a cloth instead of water, he leaves his clothing & tea cups in the living room). What should I do?

I would like to know that is if the father or husband eats first before anyone else is Sunnah? Meaning even if nobody is supposed to begin eating after waiting for a while?

ANSWER: As long as you don’t speak about them nor act upon those thoughts, you are not sinful. However, a true muslim always cleanses his heart and purifies it.

I forgive every people even if they don’t ask me forgiveness no matter how bad they are or how much I’m hurt. I never went through any pain like what I went through in recent times but I forgived him – can I make dua to Allah to explain & make him realize on the day of judgement about wht he have done, wht were my feelings, wht I went through, etc? ANSWER: No need. Part of moving on is to totally forget all that had happened as if it didn’t happen. He will know on the day of judgement how he wronged you and realize that.

Sheikh my question is about greeting salam. Sometime i greet salam to a person and he doesn’t reply back and this happened many times with the same person . So what should i do can i stop giving salam . please reply

ANSWER: If he is muslim, say salam and move on whether he answered it or not! Don’t make it personal if you are giving salam for the sake of Allah as there is an angel who is better than him, replying to your salam every time.

I read article and now it’s causing waswas, if my manager does me a “favour” at and I thank him, but the thought of thanking Allah doesn’t appear in my mind would this be classed as shirk or sinful even though my fundamental belief is nothing happens without the decree of Allah, when I received this help/blessing I just forgot but when sat and reflected I alway know nothing happens without decree

ANSWER: No problem in thanking others of what they are capable of helping with. The prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam said: “Whoever does not thank the people, does not thank Allah”.

If we hurt someone and if they curse behind us..and then later if we ask sorry and to forgive.. to them..then still the curse remains in us? How to protect ourselves from such curse..? Kindly Explain..

ANSWER: If you had wronged them and seek their forgiveness and repent to Allah while showing deep remorse, Allah will forgive you and their curses won’t have any impact in sha Allah.

Sheikh, recently, I’ve started watching health & fitness videos of Dr. , an American doctor. His videos are truly helpful & informative. Only problem is sometimes, not regularly, still images or 3 to 4 seconds length videos of women pop up. Again, the content of those videos are really helpful. Am I sinful if I keep watching those videos?

ANSWER: This is one of the steps of satan! In few weeks, looking at such stills or clips where women are there and uncovered would be normal for you! You must lower your gaze from looking at non mahram women or anything haram.
