One said to me that laying legs to quran is not a good thing, so you should not do it. Is he is doing bida’ah right?, And if i tells him that he is doing bidah, how will i answer to him if he tells me that he is not doing innovation and says that this Ayah is what is his daleel” wa man yua’azzam sha’aaaaairAllaaahi fa innaha min taqwal qoloob” ?. How will i answer to him then?

ANSWER: There is nothing in the Quran and sunnah to prohibit this. However, if one’s feet are really close to the Quran, this is disrespectful. Pointing the feet towards the Quran is not prohibited or disrespectful if the Quran is far from your feet.

My relatives have created a WhatsApp group for completing quran. Their is one admin in the group who gives daily 10 to 15 aayats to recite. Everyone will recite it and send notification that they have completed recitation. Is this practice correct according to sunnah and sharia. Please update me on this.

ANSWER: This is not according to the sunnah and it is not appropriate as it defies sincerity.

If my husband tells me to read dua (morning and evening dua) or read Qur’an and if I don’t do it he will not talk to me, so I do it am I still getting the reward of reading the dua or the Qur’an?

If I read only the meaning of quran do I need to give sujood when the ayat of sujood comes? Again during memorising an ayat of Quran in arabic which includes sujood do I need to give sujood again and again?

ANSWER: Reciting Qur’an with Tajweed is not mandatory.

If a female either a teacher or a student of the Quran, is she allowed to touch the text during her periods. I heard some say that put the gloves on, some say, can touch the page n the cover but not the words. My daughter is memorizing n to avoid her younger brother ‘s question “why are you wearing the gloves” she doesn’t care about it, please explain.

ANSWER: It is not permissible to touch the Qur’an (Mushaf) during menses with bear hands, she can use a barrier like gloves or recite or learn from tafseer books from any electronic devices.
