If you forget to say a’oothubillahi minashaytaanir rajeem bismillahir rahmaanir raheem when reading Qur’an, must you say it and start from the beginning?

ANSWER: No problem in doing dhikr while in the state of major sexual impurity. The prohibition is in reciting the Quran during major sexual impurity.

Is being in a monthly Quran katam group where everyone in the group is allocated to a juz, is it equivalent to reading the whole Quran? Could I get some insight if these groups are beneficial or correct.

ANSWER: If you are holding the Quran, you should renew your wudu. If you are reading it from an electronic device, you don’t need wudu for that.

ANSWER: You can recite it silently, providing you at least move your tongue and lips.

There is a fatwa which states the one listening to the quran is a participant with the reader in every letter that incurs a good deed and 10 ten like it. Do u agree with this fatwa that the listener gets same reward?

ANSWER: No, it is not permissible to write anything in the Mushaf.

For doing hifz,i usually highlight some verses which i find difficult or confusing,and people said that you should not underline or highlight with pencils/ highlighters in the quran.

ANSWER: Yes, you must not highlight any verse in the Quran.

I understand that we should not recite Quran when on periods but what about reciting for example Surah Mulk every night and Surah Kahf every friday which we recite regularly. Should we leave this too? and please guide about the zikr we do every morning and evening it too has some Quranic Surahs and ayah al kuri which is actually from the Quran. Are we allowed to read these?

ANSWER: You MUST NOT leave any of these worship while in menstruation. The only prohibition is in praying salah and fasting and touching the Qur’an with bare hands during menstruation, other than that you must do all kinds of Dhikr and recite the Quran as well.
