Sheikh,in our masjid there r two Adhans for Jummah prayer.After first Adhan the imam gives sermon(khutba) in mother tongue and after 2nd Adhan he gives sermon in arabic.As we know that the angels stop writing when the sermon starts. So do we consider the sermon from the first adhan or 2nd adhan.

ANSWER: The real Friday sermon is the one that is after the second athan.

At the nearest mosque I usually pray from, they play a recorded Adhan whenever it’s time for swallah. Should I repeat after it, can I say the Dua that the prophet told us to say after the Adhan as this Adhan is not called by a person but rather it’s a recorded one.

ANSWER: No, this is not permissible. You should only reply to the live athan.

When i return from school, there is hardly any yime left for zuhr and i cannot pray it in school so is it allowed to then combine it with Asr or not?

ANSWER: This is not permissible. You must pray it on time. You can pray it anywhere before leaving school even if in a corridor or a garden or the street.

Does a Muslim man have to pray his prayers in congegration in the mosque if he lives in Europe in a town, where no mosques call Adhan? Or can he pray at home?

ANSWER: If the masjid is not within the vicinity he can gather other Muslim brothers in the locality and pray in one of the houses in congregation. If this is not an option then he can pray home.

Shaykh,i had to ask,as the position of sunset changes as the season changes,i witnessed it myself,the position of which season’s sunset shows the actual direction of kaabah and qiblah,as there is a huge difference in between the positions of sunset during winter and that of summer,i am confused

ANSWER: The direction of qibla doesn’t change with seasons! Use a compass to determine the direction.

If there is hanafi masjid in the vicinity, is it obligatory for the women who pray at home to follow the prayer timings of hanafi madhab or can they pray early according to other schools of thoughts?

ANSWER: No, it is not! She must follow the right timings and pray as soon as the time is due. The best for her is to follow Umm al Qura timetable except for Isha prayer as it is not correct.

it seem to be true cos we dont see this mark on any imams forehead i triple my praying may yet this mark is appearing cos of this ppl praise am dutiful i dont like that cos im bad person a sinner thers qol of imam Ali its better that ppl think youre bad if youre good than viceversa so somtimes i let my head touch only tip of fur of the mat coz i dont want this mark i dont know if im still muslim

ANSWER: This is wrong, your prostrations must be firm on the ground. The mark has nothing to do with being righteous.

Sometime i pray in home with my mother in congregation, in this matter my mother is behind me and she recite ikamah. shayekh is it compulsory to recite ikamah for woman???

ANSWER: This is absolutely not permissible, a woman must not say the Iqama when praying behind a man. Women can say the Iqama when praying on their own.

What if I reached the masjid after the first row is full! Can I pray alone in row 2 with imam or can I pull someone from the middle of first row and then we both pray in the second row? In the second case how to fill the gap in first row? Please answer!

ANSWER: If there’s no space to fill in in the first row then you must not pull someone back, rather you should stand in the second row and pray, even if it’s only you in that row.

Sheikh people told me different views about the salah that in the 3rd and 4th rakah we should only recite fatiha while some say we recite a surah after fatiha

ANSWER: Reciting another surah after fateha is a sunnah so if you recite it, you would be rewarded and if you don’t then also no problem and your prayer would still be valid.
