I would like to know the value of Nawafil prayers when praying in Mecca mosque.

ANSWER: Any prayer that you pray in masjid Al Haram of Makkah, it’s reward is 100,000 times more than praying anywhere else.

Sheikh,I was praying Fajr,I broke it,cause I forgot I only needed to pray 2 rakahs.I realized when I got up from tashahhud,about to recite Surah Al-Fatiha,but I cut off.I said Astaghfirullah & began to pray again by making sure that I only need to pray 2 rakahs of Fajr.What I did was correct?

ANSWER: What you did was not correct. You should not have broken the salah. When you realized that you got up for the third rakah you should have immediately gone back to sitting position and finished your prayer and made sujood as sahu.

If I recite sura alaq after fatiha at first rakat, should I immediately prostrate or should I go to ruku then prostrate

ANSWER: You should go to sujood as soon as you finish the ayah, though it is not mandatory but highly recommended.

Sheikh is it a must to perform Iqama for every Nafila prayer.

ANSWER: There is no Iqamah for voluntary prayers. This is an innovation.

Shiekh is there any dhikir that we should say for Iqamah? I hear people repeat during Iqamah the same things repeated during Azan, and then finishing by the usual Doa after Azan. Is this valid?

ANSWER: This is not correct and not authentic. There is nothing prescribed in the sunnah to be said.

Shaikh Can a person give both azan and iqama and then lead salaah ?

ANSWER: No problem in this and this hair claw and hairstyle has no impact on your prayer or wudu.

Shaikh If I am traveling and reached my city after maghrib and there is still half an hour for isha should I combine isha or should I pray it after going to home in the local masjid with imam? And Shaikh when does the travel completes at reaching your city or home?

ANSWER: Once you have entered into your city limits you are not considered a traveler anymore and you must pray all your prayers on time and complete. But if you prayed Maghreb on the way before entering your city and you combined Isha to it 2 Rakah, this is permissible and it suffices you.

I am a working professional, and I wear a formal dress in the office. What is the general ruling on praying while tucking the shirt in the trousers? For prayer, should I keep the shirt loose and later again tuck in after I finish the prayer?

ANSWER: No problem in praying with your shirt tucked in as this is how you wear it and you are not doing this for prayers.

Can we pray in the dark?

ANSWER: It is recommended not to pray in darkness as this is not from the sunnah and one doesn’t know what will crawl under him or in front of him.
