If i deliberately skip the reciting of surah behind imam while i join the imam from the beginning. Is my Salah valid. Or i have recite fatiha behind Imam.

ANSWER: If you don’t recite fateha in the first two rakahs of loud prayers behind the imam, there’s no problem in this. However, if it’s a silent rakah or silent prayer then you must recite the fateha on your own.

If i make mistake when i am praying i know there are rules and sajdah sahu i learned them from your youtub (God enshalah bless you and your family for teaching us )but sometimes i feel I like to pray that salah again to corect it is it permisable

ANSWER: This is the way the prophet salla allahu alaihi wa sallam had prayed them. If one prays them loudly, this is permissible but against the sunnah.

My maternal grandfather who is 95 years old doesn’t offer Salah anymore.its been almost 1.5 years. He has always prayed all his Salah including tahajjud all his life but now he just ignores the call to prayer even after reminding. He is weak, prostate problems and weak memory. What can we do so that his last days are his best days.

ANSWER: His children and grandchildren must keep reminding him with wisdom, good manners and knowledge. However, if his memory has totally deteriorated and he is classified as insane and cannot differentiate between day and night then he’s not accountable and it doesn’t matter if he does not pray.

Pls tell me which is better during tahajjud.. 1) Praying short nafl salah and engaging in dua 2) Praying long nafl salah with short dua.. Any one is only possible because of time constraint..

ANSWER: Standing for longer time, reciting the Qur’an during night prayers is more rewarding.

I work with a brother who does not pray fajr when it’s dark. Fajr is at 5:45 and sunrise is 7.20 in England. He prays 20-30 mins before su rise. he say we must wait till there is a bit of natural light outside. What is the ruling of this.

ANSWER: If he prays it before the sun begins to rise, his prayer is valid but he is going against the sunnah.

sheik is it good to pray in a dark room, sometimes I pray tahajud and I don’t to interact people for their sleep, so I do my things quitelly and also pray on dark room, some pepole say praying in dark room you pray with sheytan, is so?

ANSWER: What these people say is absolutely baseless! No problem in praying in a dark room but it’s best to pray with lights on.

After fajr and Maghrib, is it sunnah to recite la ilaha ill-Allah wahdahu la shareeka lah, lahu’l-mulk wa lahu’l-hamd yuhyi wa yumeet wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer 10 times?

ANSWER: Yes.

Previously when i prayed salah and I had food stuck in my mouth; I used to quickly spit it out in front of me. However my sister said to me not to do that and that my prayers could be invalid. Are my prayers invalid if I was ignorant of a ruling? Plus I don’t remember how many prayers I did whilst spitting out food.

ANSWER: Spitting in the direction of the qibla while in prayer is a serious offense and insulting to Allah. The prophet salla allahu aliahi wa Sallam ordered that we do not allow such a person for leading the prayers. However, if you were ignorant of the ruling and repented, Allah is most forgiving.
