QUESTION: If a person prays behind an Imam who claims that our Prophet knows the unseen and makes dua to him. So will the prayer of that person be accepted and most importantly will he become a kafir by praying behind such Imam?

ANSWER: It’s not permissible to pray behind such a person and the prayer is invalid.

QUESTION: If there r 7 people in the family. No the main head who is the father is sacrificing 7 goats of each of them. Than is it necessary for other members of the family not to cut hair and nails. Or is it only 4 the person who is paying 4 the sacrifice? whether he is doing it for all of his family members. And his family members also recite takbeer on their sacrifice.. while sacrifice is done by butcher

ANSWER: One ram is sufficient for all those living under his roof. If they did not authorize him, they are not obliged to refrain from their hair and nails.

QUESTION: Me and my family were recently at the Prophet’s Mosque, and I noticed that almost all of the people who pray there, pray 2 rakats sunnah after adhan of every prayer (they already performed tahiyyatul masjid as I’ve seen), is this permissible? This is the same case here in Masjid Al haram in Makkah.

ANSWER: This is from the sunnah to perform 2 rakah prayer between adhan and iqamah except for fajr.

QUESTION: What to do if imam mistakenly stands up in 2nd rakah Directly of asr and then sits down after realising?

QUESTION: Sheikh, please enlighten me about cutting of hair and nail befor Qurbani. Is there any rule not to cut hair or nail befor certain days of qurbani?

ANSWER: It’s not permissible for the one who is paying for the qurbani to cut his/her nails and any part of body or head hair from the 1st of dhul hijjah until his animal is slaughtered.

QUESTION: I know it’s not allowed for a person who is paying for slaughtering to shave his hair or trim nails. What if one does that anyway? Will his slaughtering not be valid?

ANSWER: This has no impact on the validity of his Udhiya but he is sinful for disobeying the prophet salla allahu alaihi wa sallam.

QUESTION: If I give my goods to a courier rider and he delivers goods but does not pray on Friday or listen to Khutbah on his journey and on his way back, and also when he returns goods to me he does not pray Jumuah or listen to the Khutbah, then will my earnings be haraam? (I have to register to a courier company and take partnership to avail their services)

ANSWER: If he is a kafir, this seems permissible but if he is Muslim, you shouldn’t be working at the time of Friday prayers.

QUESTION: I forgot to cut my nails before the first dhul hijja. They are quite long now. Can I cut them?

ANSWER: If you are offering udhiya, you must not clip your nails or cut your hair until the animal is slaughtered.

QUESTION: Sheikh i have urine incontinence, so a prayer time was 6:31, but i did a mistake and started to wash my private part at 6:28 and started wudu at 6:30 and completed till 6:31/6:32, is my wudhu valid?

ANSWER: No it is not valid.

QUESTION: Is it permissible for two or more people to contribute money to buy either a cow, sheep, or camel for qurbani?

ANSWER: Only one person must own the sacrifice if it was a sheep and they can’t share it. As for cow or camel, no problem in 2 or more people sharing, the maximum is 7 people to share.
