as I am getting older i need to learn how to pay zakat. I know how it works for gold/silver but what about money in bank? How does that work? On the day it’s due, do I have to calculate all my savings, or do I have to calculate how much I will earn that year and leave aside what I owe for the due date of zakat? I’m really confused about this matter

You give Zakat on whatever gold and silver, and money you have in your bank account at the end of a lunar year. Money is treated like silver in regards to the threshold which is the value of 595 grams.

I wanted to know can i buy and give food items to poor and family with my zakat money ? Is it permisable

Zakat has to be in cash or they authorize you to buy them something specific.

Sheikh.I asked whether I could give Zakat yo my siblings.You have responded saying I could do so If I don’t inherit them.What does that mean???

If your sibling dies and has no father or no son, this means that you will inherit him or her. This also means that it is your responsibility to provide for him or her and that you can’t give them from zakat.

Shaikh is it permisble to pay zakath to madrasa or an Islamic institutions? Does it come under 8 category’s people whom Allah(s.w.t) has mentioned in the Quran. Bcoz nowadays many people pay zakath madrasa s and institutes.so is it permisble shaikh?

You have to obey him. Try to soften his heart and remind him of the order of the Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam not to prevent women from going to Allah’s houses.

Is it correct the way Hanafi madhab’s people pray? Keeping hand at the navel while standing position. Don’t do rafidain. Are all these correct? If so are there strong Hadith from all the 4 authentic Hadith books?

While I was praying by keeping a chair as sutrah, a woman picks up that chair and replaced it with a big hand bag. Is that a great sin that she should repent? Do I need to repeat the prayer?

The prayer is valid! She was wrong in removing the chair as she had no right in distracting you like this. She could have waited until you finished.

During the khutbah,the donation box in the masjid is passed to the musolli and every mussolli has to pass the box to the person next to him irrespective whether they put some money in it or not.We know that during khutbah,it’s wrong to collect donation like this.So,during khutba,if I fall into such situation of passing the box to next person,will rewardof my jummah be void?

As long as it is not for sale, there is no zakat except on the rent you receive and it’s earnings with you for a lunar year.
