Is the surah read after fatihah obligatory? also , in silent prayers, is it obligatory for the imaam to read both the fatihah and another surah or can he read only fatiha?

Reciting Surah Fateha is obligatory, the other Surah after that is a Sunnah whether in loud or silent prayers, including Imam. You will be missing out on the reward though if you skip the other Surah. The follower is not allowed to recite anything in loud rakah except the Fatiha.

I have recently sold my bussiness for a big sum of money.zakaah for 2017 was paid in Ramadan.I usually give it in Ramadan. Question is …Is zakaah payable on that amount next Ramadan.someone said only payable if I have had it a full year.. Paying is no problem Just need clarity

Yes, you must pay it next Ramadan if it is still with you or whatever is left of it.

In India, there are not Masajid for women everywhere. So, if travelling to work or other purposes, and the time for Salah comes, is it allowed we pray the Fard Rakahs sitting in the vehicle we are travelling in (train/bus/auto), in the direction we are heading towards? Provided that the time for Salah will get over by the time we reach home.

You must stop and pray standing up and facing the qibla. If this is not possible, one can pray to the best of his ability.

Kindly enlighten me on the ruling for aqeeqa. Is it fardh or sunnah?

1.Witr is not fard but rather a highly recommended sunnah which the Prophet salla Allahu aliaihi wa sallam never missed, even during safar. 2. Qunoot in Witr is not mandatory and it doesn’t require sujood as sahu if missed.

Is there any difference in the Salah of men & women? Did Shaykh Shafi say something in the same regard??

There’s no difference between a man’s and a woman’s prayer.

I’m a new muslim and I was just wondering when doing morning prayer can you pray in your pyjamas or do you have to get dressed into your prayer clothes?

No problem if they’re clean. If you’re a man then you have to change and then go to the masjid.

In fard prayer when I find the imam in rukuh I don’t join him there rather wait for him to go to sujood and then I join him. Because I know that without fatiha my rakah is invalid. But I have also heard you saying if I join during rukooh my rakah is valid. Which one is corrert?

Whenever you enter the masjid, you must join the Imam regardless of the position he is in. If you manage to perform ruku while he is in ruku, this Rakah is valid.

A few of my friends with some other people in their university are fundraising to provide water and sanitation to the rohynga in our country.They are also trying to build a mosque for them(I dont know if there will be any bidah or not committed in that mosque).The funds are combined.Can the money of zakah be sent to them.

I follow a hanifi salah timetable.Fajr starts at 5.30 can I read witr at 5.15 after tahajjud

This depends when Fajr is due. You must not depend on the Hanafi timetable as their Fajr and Asr are wrong and not according to the sunnah.
