My zakat is due. I was wondering who to give to. This is my first zakat. I have a maid whose husband cant find work. They have 2 kids. And they have loans. Can i give them my zakat?

ANSWER: Zakat is given to a poor or needy Muslim in the form of cash. If your maid is classified as poor or needy, you can give them from your zakat, however, you must not assist them with paying any interest based loans.

Ustadh I didn’t get any specific proof of doing sujood on table in that link you gave.i am asking this question with proof because my grand mother says that we should show her proof in the light of shareeah that it is not permitted to do sujood on table.

ANSWER: Of course, they are rewarded for that. However, their reward would be higher if they prayed it home.

The amount to be deducted from zakat is the pays of servants and household expenditures. How many months of servant pay to be subtracted from zakat account and if I sold my inherited land to give loan to my cousin and plan to buy a house for myself when he returns loan. ANSWER: Fard prayers must be prayed standing up when traveling. If they are not allowed or unable to stop to pray standing up because the driver wouldn’t stop, they can pray sitting down due to being forced to do so.

My question is which nisab to follow for zakat. Some scholars say silver because it’s Lower and some say gold. Would it matter if I choose either? Also would it be a sin if I pay more then 2.5 percent just to be “safe”.

ANSWER: For zakat on cash you need to follow nisab of 595 grams of silver.

my father said that he can’t able to make dua behind the imam since the time is very less.usually my father use to make dua ayleast 10 to 15 minites.the imam gives tasleem before he complete his full dua.what is the ruling for making dua in thashahud behind the imam.i hope u understand my question.
