I have to take bus to and fro my home and office.If i do overtime (which is sometimes required) the maghrib prayer falls during that journey.I arrived at home about 20-25 minutes after the azan of maghrib.The surrounding atmosphere is not completely dark while i arrived home.So,is it permissible for me to pray after returning home or should i pray in bus while sitting?

ANSWER: In case you arrive before isha time to your home, then you must pray at home, as the time is not over yet. you cannot pray fard salah while you are sitting unless the time is going to expire and you can’t stop the bus.

I have no house,I am renting temporarily.I saved money and still saving which is still not enough to build a house… Am I supposed to pay zakka???

Sheikh, if we only pray the Fard components & skip the Sunnah without any legitimate reason Are we sinful for it

ANSWER: No problem, however it’s highly recommended to pray these sunnah prayers as our fard prayers have a lot of shortcomings and these sunnahs compensate for them.

Its reported in hadith that one among best time for dua is between azan and iqamah,what about women who prey at home can they also make dua and say iqamah

Shaykh, i have difficulty at the moment doing Rafa yadain with tranquillity because it comes it to my mind that I am showing off and doing minor shirk, this is because ever since I’ve been young I’ve always thought doing it always looked better, the only reason I do it cos I know it’s the Sunnah but these little doubts creeping in to say I’m doing it show off, is this minor shirk

ANSWER: Once you open the door for Satan with such justifications, he will ruin your life and force you leave praying completely for the fear of showing off! Instead, keep on always observing the sunnah and raising your hands to anger him and to make his plans fail.

Can u give zakat money to parents if they are in dire need of it

ANSWER: No. Parents are children’s responsibility and they must help them out from their own money, this is the reason why you must not give them your zakat money. If your husband is taking out zakat on his wealth then he can give his parents in law his zakat.

Sheikh If we forget to say rabbighfir li…between the two prostrations does it require him to do the prostration of forgetfulnes? It is mentioned in some islamic studies school book that this is one of the obligatoryacts in prayer.

ANSWER: Yes.

I live in the UK, ive calculated my zakah and given it to my parents. They want to distribute it to the extreme poor ppl in their village in pakistan. But they go pakistan maybe once every year or once every 1.5 years.. i know delaying zakat is sinful. But is my zakah valid or nullfied due to long delay?. My parents think i dont know wht im doin.so they do it. May Allah bless them

ANSWER: Delaying zakat like this is not permissible, and you must pay it on the exact time, unless there is a legitimate necessity for this delay.
