QUESTION: Shaykh, do we only make dua during voluntary prayers or can we also make dua during fard prayers as well?

ANSWER: You can make dua in your Salah, both fard and voluntary, in all your sujood and in the last tashahud, before making salam and in your own language, providing you don’t know how to make that particular dua in Arabic.

QUESTION: After each salah in these 4 days, after the fard salah immediately, imam starts doing group takbeer of dhul hija, my question is do we have to do it individually or in congregation or both are fine.

ANSWER: What she is saying is baseless and wrong. It is like saying you shouldn’t celebrate eid in India on Saturday because it is the 11th in Makkah!

QUESTION: Is it rewardable and prescribed for people who are not performing Hajj to say the dhikr of Arafah, ‘La ilaha illa Allah waḥdahu la sharīka lah…’ on the Day of Arafah ?

QUESTION: For takbeer muqayyad usually the imam: 1. Starts the takbeer reciting with melody and naturally the jamaa follows in unison. 2. They all repeat the takbeer set 3 times. I lead prayers and want to avoid any bidah! How shall I proceed?

QUESTION: I live in Qatar & Arafah is on Thursday, so I to fast on Thursday In Shaa Allah. I will be travelling to Pakistan for Eid holidays on Thursday night & reach there early morning Friday which is the eid day in Qatar but Arafah in Pakistan. How can I celebrate Eid when people would be fasting there? What do I do? Do I fast again in Pakistan?

ANSWER: You must celebrate eid with the people of Pakistan on Saturday and not celebrate it on Friday You should fast with them on Friday as this is Arafah day for Pakistan.
