As we know the difference in price of gold and silver is quite big, which one should we consider as threshold for paying Zakat? Cost of 595 grams of Silver is pretty low when it is compared with 85 grams of gold. Jazakallah Khair.

ANSWER: Cost of silver is considered for paying zakat. If you have cash money that is equivalent to 595 grams of silver or more and stays with you a whole hijri year, you must give zakat on that.

After calculating my due zakat every year,can i gather this calculated zakah of 3 years in order to make it a handsome amount and give it to needy family at one time only so that this amount can serve the family a purpose to marry their daughter?

ANSWER: This is absolutely not permissible. You must give the zakat as soon as the time is due. A delay of a couple of days is ok but it’s not permissible at all what you mentioned. You can pay your zakat in advance for a year or two but not delay it!

Sheikh can i combine prayer while i am in city where i don’t have home but my uncle has his home in that city?

ANSWER: You are a traveler if this is not your hometown. If this is not your city and you had not settled there, you can shorten and combine. Your uncle staying there doesn’t make any difference.

While praying with imam, the imam went to ruku while I was still reciting my fatiha;I went into ruku and imam got up while I was about to complete first tasbeeh of ruku… I considered this rakah to be invalid and as the imam said tasleem I got up and prayed one more rakah and then only said tasleem… Your thoughts and Solution please InshaAllah?

ANSWER: If you and the imam were in the position of ruku together at the same time, this is a valid Rakah.

I just have a question in regards to prayer. Alhamdulillah my iman has now peaked where i make niyyah that my house is a musallah, am I still required to go to the mosque for the obligatory prayers or is it sufficient I pray at home. By praying at home, I also make niyyah that I have energy to read quran later in the day, energy that I wouldnt have if I had gone to the mosque.

ANSWER: This is not a peak in your iman rather these are evil whispers of Satan to make you feel good about yourself and your worship and eventually to make you abandon praying altogether. You must go and pray in the masjid if it’s within your vicinity.
