What should one do when sitting in the masjid and hears the athan. is saying “La illaha illa Allah” with congregation (in the end of athan) from the sunnah?

ANSWER: No. You repeat the athan individually after the Muazzin and then recite the prescribed dua after athan to be eligible for Prophet salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam’s intercession on the day of judgment.

I have cash that has reached nisaab level and zakaat will soon be due on it. In addition to this, my wife has gold jewellery. Should the monetary amount of this jewellery be added to the cash I have before I calculate the total zakaat due?

ANSWER: Your wife’s gold belongs to her. She is obliged to pay it once her zakat is due providing it reaches the nisab. If you want to unite both zakat date and pay one earlier than the other, this is permissible but you need your wife’s prior authorization to you for that.

Can we delay our prayers if our mother ask us to do some work?

ANSWER: You must not delay them beyond their appointed time.

Sheikh the nisab amount for silver is equivalent to £239. If a child has £600 in savings since 2013, and then in 2015 they reach the age of puberty, is the zakat due to paid straight away as the possessed the savings for years, or do they wait one year then pay the zakat?

ANSWER: Zakat is due on the savings regardless whether the owner is a child or has reached the age of puberty.

What if the imam of the masjid comes late to prayer or he is still making wudoo’ in masjid or he is on his way from his home and the time for iqaamah has came.should we wait for the imam or start the prayer by making any of the followers to lead it.because I’ve heard that the followers should seek the permission from the imam,if they have to lead congregation.

ANSWER: If it’s not very late then they must wait for the Imam. Usually, there is an agreement between the imam and his congregation represented by the Mo’athin when to give Iqamah if he is late.

I have a fixed deposit in the bank which is matuaring in 1 year. Do I have to pay Zakath on it. The profit is shared only at the maturing time I.e. 1 year

ANSWER: If the amount is saved for one lunar year and the amount reaches the nissab then you have to pay the zakat on the full amount. If this is a conventional bank, this is clear riba and it is one of the 7 major sins in islam.
