I suffer from cervical ectropion from 4 years and have abnormal vaginal discharge ever since. It is getting very difficult to wash my private parts before every salah. Excessive washing is making the vaginal health worse and washing so often caused severe contact dermatitis on hands. Can I combine prayers? And is it sufficient to run water over the private area instead of washing to attain purity?

I heard that it is not permissible to say bismillah in the toilet, but their is also a shower in my toilet, their is a glass between the toilet and me, the rest of the shower is a wall, but the glass doesn’t cover till the roof, a small place is open from the top, but its fully covered from the sides, is it permissible to do wudu by mentioning Allah’s name and dua’s in the shower place?

ANSWER: No problem in making wudu in the washroom attached with the toilet. You can say bismillah in your heart, without moving your lips, though saying it is not obligatory for wudu.

While making niyyah for prayer, is it enough to mentally know that I will be prayer Fardh or Sunnah of certain prayer, or do I have to silently say in mind that I will pray this prayer?

ANSWER: It’s not permissible to say it in your mind. Your niyyah is in your intention, heart and actions. No need to verbalize it.

For wiping over the socks in wudu, do we have to make wudu before putting socks or can we just wash our feet before putting socks?

ANSWER: You must put the socks on while you are in the state of wudhu. Washing the feet without wudhu has no value.

When I make wudu and I wash my arms, do I have to wash my hands until the fingers again in detail like in the beginning of the wudu or is it permissible to only wipe over the back of my hand until the fingers?

ANSWER: Yes, you must wash the whole arm including the hands and fingers. Washing the hands in the beginning is a sunnah and not mandatory. If you skip it and begin with rinsing your mouth, nose and washing your face, this is totally fine.
