I want to know if i understood the hadith right about not to sell something which u do not possess. I will make an example, i hope you understand and can give rule if this is permissible. I work in a company and they would sell me furniture for 300 dollars. I have not bought any. What i want to do is tell a friend “hey i want to sell u a piece of furniture for 600 dollars.” The friend agrees and is about to hand u the money but the problem is u havent owned the furniture so u will have to go buy it first and then sell. And since u dont want to go in risk to buy the furniture first and have nobody to buy it, you would tell your friend “give me 600 and i will hand it over to u tomorrow”. So u made a deal with a friend that ure gonna sell something to him but first he has to give u the money, so that u can buy it from that owner (since u dont own it) for 300 dollars then u keep the other half. Is this permissible?

My husband had kids from a previous marriage. He divorced and left them 2 houses. We bought our house and I ask to give it to our kids and put the house in my name for legal reason. He agreed only if he can get the house back any time he asks. We had big argument because he is asking for the house back.How can I negotiate with him? This is not fair on my kids. If anything happens to him his 1st kids can evict us.

My husband rented a flat and is renting it out to friends when they come to visit the country for holidays. The flat owner knows this and he is ok with it. The rental contract my husband signed with the flat owner says do not rent it out. Now is it a sin on his part to re rent it to friends although the owner do not mind?

Our neighbour’s husband expired recently in an accident. She is left with 2 children who are still studying & there is no financial support to the family. She will get 15000 OMR as blood money. Company transfers me in bank account some money because of my visa change and I have to give that money back to them because it is mutual understanding between company and me. Unfortunately I feel I have some money with me which I didn’t pay back to company. After sometime I realized that this was company money with me then I confirm from my account department two-three times but they told me -you don’t have any balance pending. But I feel that money which is with me is company’s money.. now please tell me what to do with that money. I am worried about that.

Medical insurance is haram in India since almost all the insurance companies deal with Riba. But I am working in a company where my company forces the employees to take medical insurance and cuts the premium amount from our salary. My question is can we claim this medical insurance amount and give it to the poor without expecting any rewards similar to what we do with the interest amount coming from bank rather than leaving it unclaimed. Please enlighten on this.
