What is the reward for gifting someone The Holy Qur’an with Tarjuma and Tafseer? Will we be rewarded for that? I’m planning to gift one to my friend as Ramadan gift.

ANSWER: This is not only permissible but it’s a very good gift providing your friend is Muslim. However, you must choose the authentic translation and Tafseer. The best translation available is of Sahih International. In english you can refer to tafseer Ass’idi, and if not possible, then tafseer Ibn Katheer.

I have a doubt regarding reading Quran in mobile. In sha Allah, I will be completing one full Quran this Ramadhan as well. Is it allowed to read partly in mobile and partly in Quran to finsh all the 30 juzz?? Or we should only read and complete 30 juzz in Quran only

ANSWER: No problem in reciting from the Quran or from the phone, the reward is the same and you can complete half from both without a problem.

We invite few imaam/ molvi for gathering to recite quran, duas, darood etc . and we pay them for that .My question is, is it allowed, can we do this?

ANSWER: There is no such thing as reciting for the deceased! It is not permissible to give the deceased the reward of reciting as it’s an innovation.

Which one should i do first? should i memorize some chapters of the quran or should i read the whole quran because i haven’t read the Quran, which will benefit me the most i plan on doing both but which one should i do first?

ANSWER: You need to maintain a balance between the two so that you manage to finish reading the quran once a month while memorizing a bit of it every day.

We are always told to ponder over the Quran but sheikh can you guide us as to HOW we should ponder over the Quran. Bearing in mind most of us don’t know Arabic, Sheikh can you tell us what do you do when you ponder over the Quran, is there a method? Do you ask yourself certain questions?

ANSWER: Pondering is done when you know the meaning of what you’re reciting and reading its tafseer. If you don’t know Arabic, you should read the translation (Sahih international is very good in sha Allah) In english you can refer to tafseer Ass’idi, and if not possible, then tafseer Ibn Katheer.

ANSWER: If the Qur’an has text of translation more than the actual Arabic ayahs of the Quran, it’s permissible, otherwise it’s not.
