What is the ruling on reciting the quran together as a group?

ANSWER: If this is done in a halaqa, where people take turns in reciting while the others listen and learn, this is permissible. However, if everyone recites on their own to finish the Quran, this is not permissible as it’s an innovation.

If one has a frame with the 99 names of Allah on it can they put it on the wall for beauty and so when they would look at it they would remember the names of Allah and read them and if we don’t believe in it and use it as an amulet is this permissible?

ANSWER: Hanging the Names on your walls is not permissible as it’s an insult to Allah’s Names & Words as they were not revealed for decorative purposes.

There is a hadith regarding punishment of the grave where it describes a rock crushing the head of a person for oversleeping fard prayer and something else regarding quran. The part regarding the quran I can’t remember what the hadith says about it, does the punishment apply just for not reciting quran? Or is it only for not acting upon commands?

ANSWER: No problem in this and the reward is the same.

I had memorized few juzz of the holy Quran and then had to discontinue. I was told not to forget the memorized parts by my ustaads but as years went by I have forgotten most of what I had memorized. What is the sin of forgetting and what effects does this have in my life . I do intend to learn it again . InshaAllah.

ANSWER: There is no sin on you because of forgeting the Quran. However, you should keep revising those surahs in order to be elevated in jannah. Why would you want to waste some much of time and efforts that you put into it.

What Islam says about person visited moon? My friends told me that it is said in Quran that no one can visit moon. But as the science tells that people had gone to moon. Please explain a little

ANSWER: Quran doesn’t say that! It says that the Jinn and Humans can’t penetrate the edges of the heavens. We know that our solar system is nothing compared to this huge universe.

Sheikh, are rewards same for one to memorize the surah yaseen or to recite it..?

I read meaning of Quran on YouTube. And listen to the recitation. Is it not rewarded ? Instead of reading when I go for audiovisual its more refreshing and effective.
